What To Expect

IB ImageWhen you visit Oak Hills Church, you are welcome to be yourself and enjoy the experience.  As you get to know Oak Hills, we believe you'll learn to enjoy participating in the Sunday service and getting involved through small groups.

Here are a few notes about your upcoming experience at Oak Hills Church:

What to expect...

...during the service

Our worship service is about an hour long.  We use music, creative video, drama and relevant teaching to communicate the powerful message of Jesus Christ. It is our desire that you not only understand and enjoy the service but also leave able to apply what you have experienced to your daily life.  Listen to our latest message here.

…when the offering is being passed

Please know that you are under no obligation to give.  Giving is an act of worship for followers of Christ who call Oak Hills Church their home.  Go here to give using our safe and secure online giving tool.

…concerning communion

Communion is offered once a month. You don’t have to be a church member to participate; we only ask that you have already made a decision to follow Jesus Christ.

Where...

…to find a seat in our worship service

Our ushers just inside the auditorium door will hand you a program and you can find a seat wherever you are comfortable. Relax and enjoy the service.

…to take your kids for our children’s ministry

Our main worship service is designed for people over age 12.  If you have kids, you will want to take advantage of our safe, creative and fun children’s ministries. Take a look at our building directory (bottom of this page) and bring your child to the nursery, preschool or elementary ministry area where you can safely and securely register your child. Children’s ministries begin and end the same time as the adult service. You can also check out what our Family Life ministry is all about here.

…to go if your child becomes restless during service

Please sit toward the aisles in the main worship service in case you need a quick exit. Should your child become restless – in either a sad or happy way – please exit for the sake of those around you. You are welcome to sit in the lobby area where you can hear the morning message.

> Nursing mothers are welcome to use our private nursing area in the nursery at any time.
> Changing tables are available in the women’s restroom and the nursery.

IB Image…to go if you have questions

During your visit at Oak Hills Church, there are people around to help and answer your questions.  Go to the Resource Center, look for a door or lobby greeter or ask an usher just inside the auditorium door.  Before you come, you can continue to explore this website to get a feel for who we are and feel free to send us an email, or call us at 651.289.1570 if you have questions.

…to go if you need prayer

Trained counselors will be standing along the window side of the auditorium at the end of each service and would love to pray with you concerning any need you may have. You can also write down your prayer request on the Communication Envelope you will receive when you enter the auditorium. Place it in the offering bag, give it to an usher or bring it to the Resource Center and it will be our privilege to pray for you this coming week.  If you need immediate prayer, please contact us at 651.289.1570 and we will be happy to help you.

We hope to see you soon.

In the meantime, we suggest you explore our Groups - even listen to our latest message right at home.
