elements is our Sunday morning environment for elementary-aged kids (K- 5th grade). In elements, we believe the Bible should never be boring; church is one of the best places to build true friendships; and the church and the home can work together to lead kids to become followers of Christ.
Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure these 3 things stick...
1. Wisdom: I need to make the wise choice.
2. Faith: I can trust God no matter what.
3. Friendship: I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
These Three Basic Truths are amplified through 36 monthly virtues (such as kindness, generosity and faith) and 150 Bible stories. Every week there is a key TRUTH or bottom line that we drive home. It's the ONE THING we want kids to understand and grab onto during their time at elements.
Here’s Sunday morning at a glance:
Check-In:
Our Check-in area opens 20 minutes before each service starts (8:40am or 10:25am)
- Parents/ adults age 18+ only may drop off and pick up kids at elements.
- Bring your child to the second floor where a friendly greeter will record your child’s attendance, give them a name badge to wear, and will also give you a corresponding security name tag. You must present this security tag to pick up your child after service.
Game Zone:
Our games (air hockey, foosball, etc) are open from 8:40am-9:05am (first service) and from 10:25am-10:50am (second service). This is a great time for kids to hang out with friends!
Large Group Environment:
Right after Game Zone time, kids head over to the stage where they hear the Bible story. We use costumes, props, video, music, object lesson and characters from the story - anything that makes the Bible come to life. We also carve out time each week for kids to sing as loud as they want and tell God how much they love Him.
Small Group Environment:
After participating in Large Group, kids travel back to their Small Group area where their leaders help them understand how the day's bottom line can fit into their everyday life. Small Group leaders at elements are serious about having fun with kids and passionate about teaching the TRUTH. We want kids to see how God's word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last.
*The best way for your child to build deep friendships is to attend the same service every week.
Pick Up:
When the service in the main auditorium has ended, come back to the elements room. Present your matching security card to pick up your child.
